The Green Global Equity Income Portfolio (GGEIP) combines the high income and relatively low risk characteristics of investing in dividend stocks with the strategic and growth potential of investing in the transition away from fossil fuels. An option selling strategy overlay increases current income while reducing risk and managing portfolio allocation.
The portfolio is invested exclusively in green companies with dividend yields (at the time of initial investment) exceed the 10 year treasury yield. Green companies include energy efficiency and renewable energy companies, but can be any company that has a net positive effect on the environment as it grows and displaces its competition.
Portfolio manager Tom Konrad Ph.D., CFA has been investing exclusively in green stocks for over a decade, on behalf of himself and private clients. He is also a prominent writer on the subject of green investing for nearly as long, with articles published in The Guardian, Forbes, Renewable Energy World, GreenTech Media, among others, as well as AltEnergyStocks.com, where he is Editor and has been sharing investing insights with readers since 2007.
Since Tom only writes once or twice a month, the Keel platform will give subscribers access insight into his more short term trades, in addition to short, timely notes about new investment ideas that don't make it into his less frequent writing elsewhere. Readers can expect to see trades (usually adding to or rebalancing existing positions) several times a week, and several trading notes every month.
